The Viking Class of 1982 Newsletter:
Some announcements for the class of '82 and friends:
This email is posted at www.sbhsmemories.com

Hi there guys! Tim here. We have some cool announcements. But first
I want you to make sure to fill me in on any bragging you want to do
about your kids, births, special things you are proud of.
I will help you tell the old gang.

1. Anne Reggie (Margolin)( AMReggie@aol.com )

This is a message from Anne on the birth of her first child:

She's finally here!

After being 12 days late, our little girl was finally born on May 5

at 7:25 pm--that's right, Cinco De Mayo.

Her name is Makena Freedom Margolin, and weighed a hearty 8lb 11.5
oz, 20 inches long at birth.

I am very proud to say we had a totally natural childbirth--no drugs,
episitomy, foreceps or intervention whatsoever--and after 21 hours of
laboring at the hospital (3 1/2 hrs of pushing--I had a hard time
getting the hang of that), we have a very healthy and alert little muffin with
lots of hair...everywhere!

Attached is an early photo-- this was after her first bath on Tues.
She already looks a little different to me. You know more photos will
come, so be forewarned!

We stayed in the hospital the first night, but brought her home
Tuesday night around 8:30 pm. We had a great day of bonding and breastfeeding yesterday--
she's taken to it like a champ! And you should see the neck muscles on this girl!
Already lifting her head and looking around! (I know, I sound like a bragging mother, don't I?)

Anyway, more later. Just wanted to give you the quick heads up and
send out the photo.

Thanks for all the well wishes and calls and emails. She's been
surrounded by love!

Love,
Anne Marie

2. Michelle Jones (Ferguson)
Michelle Jones and her husband Kevin (who by coincidence was a
teammate of mine at University of Pacific) daughter Khiara Ferguson
was a standout 4 time state basketball champ at Bishop Montgomery.
She just signed a letter of intent for a basketball scholarship at Cal Poly Pomona!
Congrats to these proud parents :-) Here is a cool article on Bishop's and Kiara's
 4 year championship run
3. It is official.
It took a decree from Rome and a special blessing by St. Bernard himself. We are having the
St. Bernard High All Class football reunion. It will be mostly class of 1982,however all classes
are encouraged to show.. Swain (who is now officially a coach) is bringing
old game tapes, we are BBQ'ing, we will draw straws to see who can still run a
Viking Mile. We will discuss who should have,
and who should not have, received Viking Stars (I shall abstain from this discussion!),
and we are swapping lots of stories and tellin lots of B.....well let's say I bet
there will be allot of spun yarn!
The RSVP's are flyin' in...I need your help on this one fellas. I am running my business
and can only put so much time into this. So I need you to get on the horn.
Call your phone book and tell everyone to give me a call. I need RSVP's
so I know how much food and drink to plan for.
Here are the vitals:
Date: Saturday June 14th 12 pm
Place: The old Priest house. Inside on the patio.
Please I need your help. If everyone calls 3 guys this can be a blast. And remember this is all
classes, not just '82, so make sure to let everyone know.
